2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., San Francisco, USA. When you visit the site, the hosting provider automatically processes technical data that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the website securely and reliably and to detect and prevent misuse. It is not combined with other data and is deleted after a short period.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website). A data processing agreement is in place with the hosting provider. Where data is transferred to the USA, this is based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
3. Contacting me
If you write to me by email or call me, I process the information you provide (such as your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message) in order to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare or carry out a coaching engagement, program or retreat. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual and contractual measures) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). I keep this data only as long as needed for these purposes and as required by statutory retention periods.
Email is processed by my email provider. Please do not send particularly sensitive personal information by unencrypted email; we can agree on another way if needed.
4. Cookies, tracking and fonts
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or social media plugins. The fonts (Young Serif and Hanken Grotesk) are stored on this server, so no connection is made to Google or other font providers.
5. External links
Some pages link to other websites, for example partners' program pages. Data is only transmitted to those websites once you click the link; their own privacy policies apply there.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data I hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Where processing is based on legitimate interest, you may object to it at any time (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, simply write to jens@riese.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for me is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
