The Chalet

Our home at the foot of the Brecherspitz, and a house made for deep work. Most of my in-person work happens here: workshops, retreats and longer intensive journeys.

The house

An old chalet, reborn as a regenerative place to live, work, heal and gather

The chalet was originally built in 1959. Between 2022 and 2024, Monika and I renovated it from the ground up, into a passive-energy-plus house that produces more energy than it consumes.

We designed it as one place for living, working and hosting: our home, workspace, and a retreat house where groups can gather for workshops and individuals and couples can stay for longer intensive journeys.

Gathering

A workshop space for up to 15 people

The workshop room is calm, bright and flexible: a circle of meditation chairs, yoga mats or meditation cushions, and a space for deep inner work. It opens onto the house and garden, so the work can flow between inside and out.

Resting & restoring

Spa, cold plunge and a natural pond

The spa has an indoor swimming pool and a sauna for up to 10 people. In the garden there is a cold plunge and a natural swimming pond, along with a gym, a sun terrace and a fireplace for fire rituals.

Staying

Apartments for couples and individuals

For longer intensive coaching journeys, the house has apartments for couples and individuals: quiet rooms in old wood and natural stone, with views into the forest and the mountains.

Food

Home-cooked, from the garden and the valley

During retreats we serve home-cooked vegan and vegetarian meals. Some of the plants come from our own garden, the rest from local suppliers around Schliersee.

Around the chalet

At the foot of the Brecherspitz

The chalet sits at the foot of the Brecherspitz, one of the iconic mountains of the Bavarian Alps, between the lakes Schliersee and Spitzingsee. Trails start at the door. In winter, ski lifts and cross-country trails are 5 to 10 minutes away.
